Technique #2: Identifying Patterns in Wrong Answers
We evaluate a student's wrong answers to identify if they are consistently making the same type of mistake. By assessing if there's a similar glitch or behavioral mistake that affected how the student answered those questions, we can provide targeted assistance to address those weaknesses.
Technique #3: Making Real-life Connections
I incorporate real-life examples about attorneys and judges to help students understand the LSAT. By using relatable examples, such as comparing a student to an appellate judge when checking their work, we can help students grasp important concepts and strategies for the exam.
Technique #4: Focusing on Behavioral Modifications
Instead of vague advice like "read slower or more carefully," we focus on finding tangible behavioral modifications that are possible for students to accomplish. For example, we encourage students to focus on identifying modifiers that signify certainty, rate, frequency, quantity, likelihood, and rate, which can help improve their comprehension and accuracy on the exam.
