MATTEO LAROSA
LSAT
My name is Matteo, and I am a recent Ginsburg Advanced graduate with a passion for logic and philosophy. After graduating from Columbia University in 2022, I began working in Artificial Intelligence, where I could witness the moral challenges that can arise from its uses and misuses. I decided to apply to law school and specialize in a field that borders intellectual property and Ethics of emerging technologies.
I took the August LSAT in person and scored a 171. As a non-native speaker, I had to learn how to sharpen my analytical skills to grasp the core meaning of each stimulus and save precious time during the test. I found Shana's strategies to be extremely helpful in dealing with anxiety, particularly in the second half of the test.
I believe that someone can master the concepts necessary to succeed on the LSAT regardless of their English proficiency; the LSAT tests one's proficiency with "mentalese," what Chomsky and other linguists defined as the universal grammar of the mind. As a result, I am confident that as long as you're willing to learn, you can improve tremendously on this test, no matter your starting point and educational background. I look forward to helping you succeed.
Good luck with your future endeavors!
